PK-WO believes that a woman’s well-being is the foundation of her empowerment. Health awareness campaigns, work-shops on reproductive health sessions are organized from the platform to ensure that women can take charge of their physical, mental and emotional well- being.
Parwan-e-Khanum Welfare Organization successfully organized a breast cancer awareness session on Saturday, 5th October 2024, led by Dr. Safoora Shahid, a renowned oncologist specializing in breast diseases. Dr. Safoora Shahid shared valuable insights on early detection and prevention of breast cancer, emphasizing the importance of timely screening and self- examinations.
The session was attended by Parwan-e-Khanum ambassadors and female students from Peshawar Model Schools’ Swabi, Shabqadar, Nasirbagh and Girls V campuses. Participants gained a deeper understanding of the disease and left the session equipped with knowledge to safeguard their health.
